CRL 700 Heated High Viscosity Urethane Adhesive is specially formulated as a safe, fast alternative to room temperature applied one-component urethanes. CRL 700 accelerates the curing of the material to provide you with fast, safe driving release times for customers who demand their vehicle back quickly. CRL 700 meets or exceeds U.S. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards FMVSS212 (Barrier Crash Test) and FMVSS208 (Occupant Crash Protection) in approximately 30 minutes, and rates non-conductive. The fast curing formula is tack free in only 10 to 15 minutes and offers Safe Drive Away Time in as little as 30 minutes when used on vehicles without a passsenger side air bag, four hours with passenger air bag at 72 DegreeF (21 DegreeC) and 45% RH (relative humidity).

New packaging for improved shelf life features a spread metal plunger that replaces the plastic plungers. This provides worry-free cartridges that are always easy to gun. In addition, the extra and difficult step usually required to remove the sharp bottom metal seals is gone, and with the new spread metal plunger there is no need for a dessicant capsule to help keep the urethane fresh.
In addition, as an added value, each cartridge has a peel-off Quality Control Label affixed to the bottom of the tube. The Quality Control Label contains the following information: Cat. No. of the Urethane Adhesive used; Batch # of cartridge used; Date of Use; Temperature; Humidity; Airbag" Yes or No; and Safe Drive Away Time. After this label has been filled out completely by the technician installing the windshield, it can then be affixed to your customer's invoice for insurance purposes or as a quality control record for you and your customer.
Cleaning and Primers
CRL 900 and 700 Series Urethanes are supported by a selection of primers formulated for use in all aspects of glass bonding, including a glass frit primer, a pinchweld primer, and a primer specifically formulated for use with EPDM/PVC moldings.
1. After removing all of the old urethane to within 1/16 inch (1.5 millimeter) of the pinchweld, prepare the pinchweld following the procedures outlined in the CRL Technicians Training Manual. Prime these areas with CRL9P Pinchweld Primer.
2. Clean the inside of the windshield with a lint-free towel 1550 and PWR22 Automotive Glass Cleaner.
3. Apply CRL9GC Glass Primer to frit area with a lint-free towel and wipe dry. Allow to flash off for a minimum of 10 minutes, but no more than 8 hours before installing adhesive. This procedure must be performed above 40 DegreeF (4 DegreeC). NOTE: CRL9GC Glass Primer must be used prior to any adhesive application to prevent glass displacement. Failure to do so may result in personal injury or property damage.
4. Apply CRL9EP EPDM/PVC Primer to encapsulated moldings if they are part of the bonding area.
Packaged in metal cartridges with 12 each screw-on V-Cut and 12 each Cone Nozzles included in every case. 24 cartridges per case.
