Automotive computer memory savers are designed to maintain the memory of the onboard vehicle computer (CCU) when the battery is disconnected. Use of these tools when changing or interrupting the power source prevents loss of certain driveability codes, keyless entry codes, digital radio setting, cellular phone settings and other memory related functions. Also prevents loss of radio function on anti-theft radio systems. Cat. No. 213-0294 plugs into standard 120VAC outlet, and No. 213-0295 uses a 9V alkaline battery.
