This CRL Beveller Machine is ideally suited for fabricators who need to produce a large volume of bevels. Model 761 uses two bevel grind wheels to bevel glass up to 1" (25 mm) thick at speeds from 40% to 83% faster than Model 752 Beveller/Edger. It will produce 1/2" (12.7 mm) height bevels at 95" (2.4 m) per minute or 1" (25 mm) height bevels at 55" (1.4 m) per minute. Ground edgework can be done on glass up to 1/2" (12 mm) thick. Both models of Somaca/CRL's Seven Spindle Bevellers feature easy-to-use digital controls for selecting glass thickness, bevel height and bevel angle. Bevel calculation and set-up is accomplished in seconds. You also have the ability to store up to 15 different bevel settings, and recall them instantly. The computer controls are also able to determine a bevel angle based on the final edge thickness required. The operator can adjust the controls to read in inch or metric units of measure. This control will also track productivity - it records the total inches of glass processed and the corresponding hours of labor on user counters which can be reset. The bevel and edge spindles have individual ammeters to monitor wheel performance. The system's microprocessor and motor starters are located in a remote cabinet to minimize vibration to components.
Wheel Stations: Featuring 3HP, 3600 rpm spindle assemblies for all beveling positions, and the edge grind position. The edge polish station on Model 752 uses a 2HP, 1800 rpm spindle assembly. All wheel adjustments are located on the front of the machine.
Conveyor: The glass is conveyed by means of a flexible conveyor. Both entry and exit conveyors are 7' (2.1 m) long. Conveyor speed is variable from 0" to 157" (4 m) per minute by push button adjustment.
