Longer Diamond Wheel Life and Quality Glass Finishing! This is a fully assembled, turn-key Coolant Filtration System ready-to-install and go to work. The system is designed for continuous separation of glass fines from coolant. It incorporates the latest design features to sweep the tank bottom and isolate clean fluid. Two basic systems are offered.
Installing a Filtration System for your beveling or edging operation will assure the removal of glass fines from the coolant. As the glass fine laden liquid discharges from the machine, it travels into the centrifuge. The tank design has built-in water jet nozzles so the liquid is consistently agitated and not allowed to settle. The glass fines are kept in suspension until they reach the rotor bowl. Once the dirty liquid reaches the rotor bowl, it is spun at very high speeds which causes the glass fines to separate from the coolant, and the solids are collected in the bowl. The operator removes the bowl which is filled with glass sludge and disposes the waste, then returns the bowl and turns the system back on.
How to Select the Filtration System That Will Work Best for You - Our Coolant Filtration System models are matched with machinery based on total grinds produced and flow rate. The flow rate is the amount of coolant being pumped through the machine's coolant system. Each filtration centrifuge has a rotor volume that dictates the model to use with the machine. Too small a unit would mean the rotor bowl would fill-up with sludge too fast and have to be emptied too often. The main objective in filter sizing is not having to empty the rotor every hour. The ideal cleaning frequency would be once or twice a day or eight hour shift. These Coolant Filtration Systems can be run overnight without the machinery to achieve optimum cleaning. Centralized systems can be designed for any fabrication operation. See the chart below for typical machine reference and general recommendations.
