CRL Brushed Nickel Z-Series Square Type Flat Base Zinc Clamp for 3/8" Glass is used to position glass thickness of 3/8" (10 mm) in railings. It provides a perfect solution for partitions, railings, windbreaks and countless other projects. The flat base allows for installation onto square tubing or other flat surfaces. The clamp includes an optional steel pin for additional weight support. These clamps are the perfect solution for partitions, railings, windbreaks and countless other projects. CRL Brushed Nickel Z-Series Square Type Flat Base Zinc Clamp for 3/8" Glass has been tested and engineered to meet and exceed code standards and legal requirements. Specifications: For securing the z-clamp to thin wall tubing (less than 1/8"), use crl’s zb0lt socket head cap bolt and zrnut rivet-nut. For installation, drill a 1/2" (12 mm) hole, insert the riv-nut, align the clamp with the bolt and drilled hole and start threading the bolt into the nut which results in compressing the nut. Glass Thicknesses: Models for 1/4" to 1/2" (6 to 12 mm) Base Design: Flat For Use With: Square Tubing or Other Flat Surfaces Material: Choice of Zinc Constructed or Stainless Steel. Stainless Steel or Powder Painted Zinc Clamps are recommended for more durability in exterior applications. Glass Fabrication: For 1/4" (6 mm), 5/16" (8 mm), and 3/8" (10 mm) Thick Glass: 1/2" (12 mm) diameter hole required if using provided steel pin for glass support. For 1/2" (12 mm) Thick Glass: 9/16" (14 mm) diameter hole required if using provided steel pin for glass support. Includes: Rubber Gaskets (CRL Cat. No. Z38SG) and Steel Pin (for optional use) with Grommet. Important Notes For interior and exterior applications CRL recomends pinning each glass panel as required when the glass is not supported from the bottom edge to prevent glass panel slippage.
