CRL 28005 White Bostik Rhodorsil V60 Neutral Cure Silicone

CRL Bostik Rhodorsil® V60 is a premium grade neutral cure glazing weatherproofing silicone sealant with superior adhesion to painted and anodized aluminium and glass. With excellent UV stability typical uses include: two-sided structural glazing (colours only on to aluminium substrate); structurally glazed systems (subject to Bostik approval and review of design first); fin glazing; sealing of laminated and reflective glass; general glazing applications; weather sealing in curtain wall and building facades including composite metal panels. It meets the requirement of Australian Standard AS 4020-1994. Important Notes: Not recommended for concrete and stone expansion joints; horizontal decks, patios, driveway or terrace joints where abrasion or physical abuse is encountered; sealing submerged joints, particularly where porous surfaces permit water infiltration to the bond surface; interior or exterior structural sealing below the waterline in marine applications; structural glazing; food contact or potable water applications. CRL V60 cannot be painted as painting over silicone sealant is generally not successful. Paint film does not stretch with extension of the sealant, and adhesion of paint to the sealant is not adequate. Extensive material testing has shown that the following substrates must be tested for good adhesion, and that a primer may be required: plastics, flexible PVC, acrylic resin, natural stone, concrete and wood. Neutral cure sealant cure byproducts may cause stress cracking or surface crazing of polycarbonate sheet under certain conditions. Test in application before use.
