Polyvance's 6076 bumper stabilizer is designed to help support today's large, complex, multi-piece bumpers for easy repair and assembly. The bumper stabilizer attaches to your existing scissor stand and provides multiple adjustable anchor spots and bungee cords to precisely support fragile bumper components during assembly or repair. Bumper components can be held in virtually any position, allowing one technician to work on a bumper without the risk of dropping it on the floor and damaging the paint. The bumper stabilizer has 6 adjustable anchor points and six adjustable bungee cords of various lengths to allow a single technician to safely fixture and assemble bumpers of virtually any size or shape. Front bumpers with large grille openings don't have much inherent structure when the grilles are not installed. The grille opening will flex and distort, making it difficult to install. By supporting your bumper on the Stabilizer, you can install the grille and other trim in your freshly painted bumper without fear of scratching or damaging it. 2 and 3-piece bumpers are much easier to assemble with the bumper stabilizer. Use the bungee cords to hang the top or side pieces to ensure that they won't fall off and get damaged. Then with the bumper's lower part secured, you can easily pop the parts together to complete the assembly. The bumper stabilizer is also perfect for supporting bumpers while fixturing and prepping them for repair. Often a bumper torn in a high-stress area will be hard to hold together with aluminum tape alone. To assist in the repair process, you can use the bungees in the Bumper Stabilizer to hold the crack together while you fixture, prep and weld the tear. The bumper stabilizer is made in the USA and is easily assembled and attached to one of your shop's scissor stands. The 6 ft wide upper arms are wide enough to support the largest truck or SUV bumpers. Use a Polyvance Bumper Mate 2 or a piece of plywood on the top of the scissor stand to provide support. A moving pad can be used to keep paint from being scratched. This simple and flexible combination of items will be your go-to bumper repair workstation for many years to come.
