CRL 1-1/2" Diameter Stainless Steel Grab Bars have a #4 satin finish. When installed properly, these Grab Bars can support loads in excess of 1300 lbs. (589 kg). Wall clearance is 1-1/2" (38 mm) from the wall to inside edge of tubing. This exceeds A.D.A., VA, FHA, and other federal, state, and local building codes.
A.D.A. Recommended Guidelines: It is recommended that a 36" (914 mm) minimum horizontal grab bar be installed on the back wall over the toilet and a 42" (1.07 m) minimum horizontal grab bar be installed on the sidewall or partition nearest the toilet. This can also be accomplished with a single horizontal two-wall grab bar (available on special order). Grab bars should not rotate in their fittings. The required mounting height is universally 33" to 36" (838 to 914 mm) from the centerline of the grab bar to the finished floor. The structural strength of all grab bars and their mounting devices should withstand more than 250 lbs. of force (1112N).
