Product Overview

This self-sacrificing aluminum anode rod is used in a water heater to help protect any exposed metal in the tank from corrosion. The 3-section flexible design allows for the anode rod to be installed in spaces where overhead clearance above the water heater is limited and a standard anode rod would not fit. The dielectric nipple allows it to be installed in the hot water outlet so that an extra anode rod can be used when water is extremely high in mineral content and the homeowner wants extra protection for the water heater, or when the water heater does not come with an anode rod. It is 42 in. long and 3/4 in. OD.

  • 3.4 in. OD
  • Flexible 3-section
  • 42 in. L
  • Aluminum
  • 5 in. dielectric nipple
  • Used to protect any exposed metal in the tank from corrosion
  • 3-section feature allows for flexibility to install when there is low clearance above the water heater
  • Aluminum with traces of zinc helps to reduce sulfur small
  • Self-sacrificing
  • Replace more often if water has high mineral content
