Our 3M Contractor Grade Pro Strength Duct Tape 3979 was tested according to UL723, ASTM E84. Due to its unique design and price, it is a strong choice for general indoor, everyday duties where strength and moisture resistance are necessary. The contractor-grade tape can also be used at temperatures as high as 200 F for up to 30 minutes. 3M Contractor Grade Pro Strength Duct Tape 3979 comes with a classic, silver-colored backing. Our sturdy cloth-reinforced tape can be torn from the roll and sticks instantly, providing a wide range of convenient solutions. Built to Stick 3M family of rugged cloth and duct tapes adheres to most surfaces for applications ranging from bundling to moisture proofing, sealing to splicing, reinforcing to hanging poly drapes. Available in a variety of colors and strengths, they are known best for their hand tear ability, high tensile strength and conformability.

3M 3979 silver duct tape comes in a 1.88 in width, 60 yd length and uses a rubber adhesive. Can be used to a maximum temperature of +200 F. Provides a tensile strength of 32 lb/in. When purchasing this product, consider the thickness. The variances in thickness often make an important difference in proper performance. This duct tape has a 8.0 mil thickness. Some duct tapes have grades assigned to them. This particular duct tape is considered contractor grade. In addition to the other properties this product is moisture-resistant.
