This mechanism ensures the seal actuates on the hinge side first to prevent skidding. The door bottom has a projection of 9/16" and a width of 1-3/8", and it is capable of sealing gaps up to 3/4" under the door. It is non-handed and reversible, allowing for flexible installation without disassembly.
