Product Overview
The 3M Stripe Off Wheel, part number 07499, is a rotary tool accessory designed for the high-speed removal of vinyl decals, pinstripes, graphics, and double-sided molding tapes from vehicle surfaces. This solid molded rubber wheel measures 4 inches in diameter and 5/8 inches in thickness. It operates by friction rather than abrasive minerals, helping to prevent scratching or damage to underlying paint, acrylic enamel, or urethane finishes. The wheel includes a 3/8-16 threaded mandrel for easy attachment to most drills and standard rotary tools. It features a medium density rating and has an optimum operating speed of approximately 2,000 RPM, with a maximum safe operating speed of 4,000 RPM. This beige wheel is not recommended for use on lacquer coatings, and care should be taken with heat-sensitive substrates due to the heat generated by friction.
