3M ZB324120 3" x 24" 120 Grit Diamond Belt

This CRL 3M® Diamond Belt offers tremendous life compared to a standard silicon carbide belt. In addition, the edge quality is consistent throughout the belt's life. This is because diamonds wear much slower than silicon carbide. Since diamonds cut rather than scratch like sandpaper, less pressure is required to accomplish the same material removal. The synthetic fiber-woven belt backing material is impervious to water and oils, providing maximum life from the belt. Although considerably more expensive, diamond belts can offer savings in situations where belt changing time or edge finish is critical. Always use water with CRL 3M® Diamond Belts to prolong belt life and to cut down on hazardous airborne dust particles. CRL 3M® Diamond Belts should be used on machines in good condition with true running rollers.
CRL 3M® Diamond Belt users that want to achieve an extremely high polish, after progressing to an 800 Grit belt, CRL 3M® Trizact® products can be used in a four step system.
