The 3M 8511PB1-A Particulate Respirator is a NIOSH N95 approved respirator, meeting the 42 CFR Part 84 requirements for a minimum 95% filtration efficiency against solid and liquid aerosols that do not contain oil. It features a 3M Cool Flow Exhalation Valve, designed to reduce heat and moisture buildup inside the respirator, enhancing comfort during extended wear, particularly in hot and humid conditions. An adjustable M-noseclip and braided headbands provide a secure, custom seal. Constructed with a polypropylene filter, polyester shell, polyisoprene straps, aluminum nose clip, and steel staples, this lightweight (approximately 0.55 oz) respirator contains no components made from natural rubber latex. It is intended for use in applications such as sanding, grinding, sweeping, bagging, fiberglass insulation, woodworking, and other dusty operations, and helps reduce inhalation exposure to certain airborne biological particles.
