Product Overview
The ROFU 8512-LC, a single electromagnetic lock from the 8500 Series, provides a substantial 1200 lb (544 kg) holding force for door security applications. It features dual voltage operation, selectable between 12VDC (500 mA) and 24VDC (250 mA) power inputs. Constructed with heavy-duty anodized extruded aluminum housing, this unit is designed for indoor use. Its keyhole mounting system facilitates easy installation, allowing the magnet to slide into place. Key features include anti-residual magnetism, built-in MOV spike and surge protection, and fail-safe operation, meaning it releases instantly upon power disconnection. The lock also incorporates a fail alarm, which can be configured for release upon fire alarm activation. The magnet measures 10-1/2" L x 2-11/16" H x 1-9/16" D, while the armature plate is 7-1/4" L x 2-3/8" H x 5/8" D.
