Product Overview

This 3/64 inch black Sealstrip glass setting tape is designed to secure glass within metal frames or channels while providing cushioning and environmental sealing. The material is fiber impregnated to enhance strength and structural stability during installation and long term service. It is non adhesive and intended to be folded over the edge of the glass before placing the glass into the frame or channel. Once positioned, the tape helps retain the glass firmly and forms a barrier against dirt, moisture, and weather exposure. The thin profile allows the glass to seat properly without excessive pressure that could contribute to cracking or breakage. In addition to glass retention, the material offers insulation against sound and vibration transfer within framed glazing systems. It is formulated to resist stretching and maintain its shape over time. After installation, excess material can be trimmed cleanly using a knife or razor blade to achieve a precise fit. Technical properties include a specific gravity of 1.24, tensile strength of 275, elongation of 100 percent, and a durometer rating of 60. This tape is intended for professional glass setting applications requiring a thin, stable, and durable cushioning material.
