Product Overview
The Accu-Lube LB-6800 is a moderate-duty Minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL) fluid formulated for metalworking applications. This biobased, vegetable-based lubricant is biodegradable, non-toxic, and environmentally friendly, featuring a mild odor and purple liquid appearance. It is primarily designed for machining aluminum and aluminum extruders or castings, but is also suitable for use with ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, and titanium. The LB-6800 lubricant cools, lubricates, and aids in chip removal during sawing, cutting, milling, drilling, reaming, tapping, and other machining operations, improving cutting rates, surface finish, and extending tool life. It increases lubricity and reduces friction. The non-staining formula burns off cleanly during post-heat treating, eliminating the need for cleaning before processes such as painting, welding, or anodizing. It is supplied in a 1-gallon jug and is cleanable with soap and water.
