CRL Aerosol Mirror Edge Sealant sprays on clear to seal mirror edges after cutting, seaming or polishing. Edge Sealant protects the edges from turning black which occurs when silver backing is exposed to humidity. The sealant provides long lasting protection against moisture and other harmful conditions. Before applying CRL Aerosol Mirror Edge Sealant the mirror must be clean and completely free of all dirt, glass swarf, coolant residue, cutting oil, or other materials. Use a mixture of alcohol and water, or denatured alcohol to clean any contaminants from the edges. Applying an edge sealer over contaminants will trap them against the mirror and may actually cause the mirror edge to deteriorate more quickly. Important Notes: Before applying edge sealant the mirror must be clean and completely free of all dirt, glass swarf, coolant residue, cutting oil, or other materials. Use a mixture of alcohol and water, or denatured alcohol to clean any contaminants from the edges. Applying an edge sealer over contaminants will trap them against the mirror and may actually cause the mirror edge to deteriorate more quickly. DS 07/11/2016
