Product Overview
The Airmar Technologies P79-FISO is a dual-frequency, depth-only, in-hull transducer designed to measure water depth by transmitting and receiving sonar signals. It operates at 50 kHz with a 45° beamwidth, reaching depths up to 305 meters (1000 feet), and at 200 kHz with a 12° beamwidth for depths up to 183 meters (600 feet). The transducer has a 600 W RMS power rating and features a layered plastic urethane acoustic window within a urethane housing. It includes an adjustable plastic mounting base that accommodates hull deadrise angles up to 22 degrees, ensuring the beam is vertically oriented for maximum echo returns. Installation requires bonding the base inside a solid fiberglass hull and filling it with non-toxic antifreeze (propylene glycol) for optimal signal transmission. This design eliminates hull protrusions, making it suitable for trailered or lifted boats up to 8 meters (26 feet) in length. It connects via a Raymarine FISO connecto
