The Airmar P79-MM is a dual-frequency, depth-only in-hull transducer with 600W RMS power, engineered for marine depth sounding applications. It operates at 50 kHz, providing a 45° beamwidth for depth performance up to 294 m (1000'), and at 200 kHz with a 12° beamwidth for depths up to 180 m (600'). This transducer features a urethane housing and a plastic mounting base that adjusts to hull deadrise angles from 0° to 22°, ensuring the beam is vertically oriented. It is designed for drill-free installation in solid fiberglass hulls up to 8 m (26 ft) in length, using a non-toxic antifreeze solution within the base for optimal sound transmission. As a Mix & Match model, it includes a 2m cable with a 5-pin Airmar connector, requiring a separate brand-specific adapter cable for connectivity to marine electronics.
