Product Overview
The Airmar SS505 (SS505-DO-FISO) is a compact, thru-hull depth and temperature transducer designed for marine applications. Featuring a robust stainless steel stem, it is suitable for installation on all hull materials, including planing and displacement hull powerboats 9 meters (30 feet) and above. Operating at dual frequencies of 50 kHz and 200 kHz with 600W RMS power, it provides detailed target information in shallow water at 200 kHz and effective deep-water bottom tracking at 50 kHz. The 50 kHz beam is 45° and the 200 kHz beam is 12°. It connects via a Raymarine FISO connector and requires a 22 mm (7/8 inch) hull hole for installation. Airmar's High-Performance Fairings are recommended to optimize echosounder performance by reducing drag and ensuring smooth water flow over the transducer face. An included kit helps isolate the stem from metal hulls, minimizing the risk of electrolytic corrosio
