AJM's story began in Detroit in 1918. Three brothers from Detroit – Jack, Abram, and Morris' family owned a neighborhood grocery store beneath their small apartment. Despite many good years, the company's grocery business shuttered before the crash of 1929. The brothers pitched in to keep the company afloat; even the young boys unloaded the trucks, stocked the shelves, and took out the garbage. The family remained in the food industry, distributing produce and beer and driving trucks. After WWII, they began distributing paper products together.
In 1993, the company's reigns were passed on to Abram's son, Robert. Today, AJM Packaging Corporation is a 3rd generation family-owned and family-run business, and it is committed to providing the reliable service that has been important to the company since the day Abram, Jack, and Morris started the business.
