Product Overview
The AK Industries AKS13200 Septic Tank Effluent Filter is designed to screen suspended solids from wastewater, preventing them from entering and clogging the drainfield. This polyethylene filter measures 4.5 inches wide, 4.5 inches long, and 20.5 inches high. It features 122 linear feet of 1/16 inch filter slots for efficient debris capture. The unit includes a flow control ball that halts effluent flow when the filter is removed for servicing, and a gas deflector ball that redirects solids. Suitable for both new septic tank installations and retrofitting into existing systems, it comes complete with its own housing. Regular cleaning of the filter is required to maintain optimal system performance and prevent backups. This type of filter is often required in certain states, including Indiana, Iowa, and Ohio.
