Product Overview

Anode rods feature a unique stainless steel center core that allows the anode rod to be secured in place, extending the life of the water heater tank. When a water heater tank is filled with water, an electrolytic reaction begins in areas that have exposed steel. The sacrificial anode slowly dissolves and the ions added to the water protect the exposed steel from corrosion.
