Product Overview
The Anchor Allied USA 20002 100% RTV Acetoxy Silicone Sealant in white is a single-component, acetic-cure sealant designed for general construction and glazing applications. This RTV (Room Temperature Vulcanizing) silicone forms a durable, flexible, and waterproof elastomeric seal upon exposure to atmospheric moisture, releasing acetic acid during the curing process which results in a vinegar-like odor. It offers strong adhesion to non-porous substrates such as glass, glazed ceramic tiles, aluminum, vinyl, and many plastics, making it suitable for sealing around windows, doors, siding, trim, and other building joints. The sealant is weather-resistant, UV-resistant, and maintains flexibility across a broad temperature range. Packaged in a 9.5 fluid ounce (280 ml) cartridge, it is intended for use with a standard caulking gun. It is not recommended for use on porous materials like masonry or concrete, and its acetic acid release may cause corrosion on certain sensitive metals like copper or brass.
