AquaChem 24327CLX Chlorinating Granules are a stabilized granular chlorine product designed for sanitizing and treating water in pools and spas. This product's active ingredient is Trichloro-s-triazinetrione (Trichlor), which typically provides approximately 90% available chlorine. It functions as a sanitizer to kill bacteria, an algaecide to prevent and eliminate algae, and a shock treatment to clarify water. The granular formulation ensures quick dissolution upon application. It is supplied in a 27 lb bag. Trichlor also includes cyanuric acid, which acts as a stabilizer, protecting the chlorine from degradation by ultraviolet light, though consistent use can contribute to cyanuric acid accumulation.
