Designed with spiral fluted step tip drill bits, the Astro Tools TS29 ONYX 29-Piece TurboStep HSS Reduced Shank Mechanics Length 1/16" - 1/2" Drill Bit Set simply outperforms every conventional drill bit design in nearly all materials. These drills eliminate bit walk and the need for pilot holes with three-flat shanks and mechanic s length for superior access in cramped spaces. Making these drill bits excels on hard alloys, sheet metal, and imperfect parts that are difficult to start drilling into. The material used on these drills is precision ground from heat treated quality M2 High Speed Steel and Onyx oxide coated to prevent chip build-up.
