SPARK PLUG BR7ES (86-5122) Autowares is an electrical device that uses an electric spark to ignite compressed aerosol gasoline in internal combustion engines. The electrical component is frequently used in mechanical tasks. Spark plugs convert an energy source (gasoline) into movement. For example, we have fuel, which is highly flammable, and air which may result in an explosion if mixed. The plug acts as a match for the compressed gas. It ignites the gasoline/air combination in the combustion chamber as electrical energy passes through the component. Spark plugs can function as heat exchangers by removing unneeded thermal energy from the combustion chamber. It has an insulated center electrode that runs the length of the device, as well as one or more ground electrodes on the bottom end. The "spark gap" separates this section from the exposed end of the center electrode. When there is enough voltage from the ignition coil to the spark plug, the electrical energy can leap the gap and produce a spark.
