The CRL DETEX® ECL230D Exit Control Lock with Short Bar is a code compliant, battery alarmed, rugged dead bolt panic device with a steel plate and photo-luminescent sign providing managed security and a 100 decibel alarm for secondary exits. The alarm is powered by a 9 volt battery which is included in the package. The attack resistant design withstands over 2200 lbs. (998 kg) of outside pull force, and the dead bolt is saw resistant.
This non-handed lock accepts 5-pin through 7-pin standard and interchangeable core rim cylinders. Locking and unlocking the deadbolt always arms and disarms the alarm, but resetting the alarm can only be accomplished with a control key. Cylinder and bar guard sold separately. Durable steel plate with photo-luminescent sign absorbs light to later "glow in the dark" when lights are dimmed.
This easy-to-install, durable and reliable alarm device provides a simple operation that everyone understands. Fits standard door thicknesses 1-3/4" to 2-1/4" (44 to 57 mm). Device measures 10-3/8" (263 mm) tall, 5-3/4" (146 mm) wide, and 3-3/4" (95 mm) deep, and comes equipped with a 12-7/8" (327 mm) bar.
