The Bard EHWA030A-A15 is a 15kW electric heat kit designed to provide supplemental heating for compatible Bard wall-mount air conditioning units. This field-installable kit operates on 208-230V, single-phase, 60Hz power, delivering up to 51,195 BTU/hr of electric heat. It is specifically compatible with Bard W30AY series and newer AY-series units that utilize R-454B refrigerant. The kit converts cooling-only units into year-round heating and cooling systems and includes a factory-installed 80 amp circuit breaker for safety. It features a point suspension element support system to prevent hot spots and incorporates automatic limit and thermal cut-off safety controls. The kit weighs 12 lbs and includes the electric heat strip, heater control base with contactors, installation instructions, and wiring diagrams.
