The B&K 102-140 Tankless Water Heater Isolation Valve Kit is designed to isolate tankless water heaters from the plumbing system for maintenance, draining, and flushing, facilitating descaling and ensuring system longevity. Constructed from lead-free forged brass, this kit typically includes hot and cold isolation valves, often with built-in unions, and a pressure relief valve. It features 3/4 inch inlet connections conforming to ASTM F1960 for cold expansion PEX tube type A. The hot and cold valves are rated for up to 600 PSI, while the pressure relief valve is typically rated up to 155 PSI and 200,000 BTU/hr. The valves operate with a quarter-turn function, are designed for a temperature range of 32°F to 180°F, and feature chrome-plated brass balls for enhanced corrosion resistance. This lead-free design complies with NSF/ANSI 372 for drinking water application
