Product Overview
This B&K 586-100HN pipe nipple is a threaded fitting constructed from Schedule 40 carbon steel with a black finish. It features a 1-1/4 inch nominal pipe size (NPS) and a 10-inch length. Equipped with male NPT (National Pipe Taper) threads on both ends, it complies with ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 standards, ensuring secure connections. Designed for use in non-potable water, natural gas, propane, oil, steam, and air applications, including industrial process piping and HVAC systems. Black steel is commonly preferred for gas lines as galvanized coatings can flake.
