Product Overview
The B&K (B&K Mueller) 588-180HC is a ready-cut black steel pipe nipple designed for connecting threaded pipe sections and fittings. Constructed from durable carbon steel, it features a nominal pipe size of 2 inches, a length of 18 inches, and a Schedule 40 wall thickness. Both ends are threaded to comply with ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 standards, ensuring secure connections. This black pipe nipple is primarily used in non-potable applications such as natural gas, propane, oil, air, steam, HVAC, and fire sprinkler systems. It is not suitable for potable water distribution due to corrosion potential. The nipple can withstand pressures up to 500 PSI at 150°F
