Product Overview
The Black 1/4" Thick x 3/16" Wide Edgetech 66 Foot Roll is an insulating silicone foam spacer designed for the fabrication of insulating glass units. This spacer is used to reduce perimeter edge condensation and window heat loss in various window assemblies. Constructed from UV-resistant silicone material, the spacer accommodates glass bowing and thermal movement, helping to maintain the structural integrity of the glass unit. The foam structure allows for moisture pick-up, while a multi-layer barrier film reduces moisture vapor transmission and inert gas loss. This product is suitable for regular and special shaped insulating glass units, including curved, odd-shaped, sound-insulating, and triple-glazed units with art glass inserts. Each roll measures 66 ft in length. This spacer is designed for simultaneous production of regular and special shaped insulating glass units, saving production time by eliminating the need for desiccant beads or corner keys. Note that this spacer requires an edge sealant, such as hot melt butyl or specialized spacer sealant, for proper application and long-term performance in insulating glass fabrication.
