Product Overview
The Black 3/4" Wide Edgetech 66 Foot Roll is an insulating silicone foam spacer designed for the fabrication of insulating glass units. This spacer is used to reduce perimeter edge condensation and window heat loss. Constructed from UV resistant silicone material, the spacer accommodates glass bowing and thermal movement. It features a multi-layer barrier film to reduce moisture vapor transmission and inert gas loss. The roll measures 66 ft in length, 3/4" in width, and 3/16" in thickness. This product is suitable for regular and specialized insulating glass designs, including curved, odd-shaped, sound-insulating, and triple-glazed units with art glass inserts. The permeability of the foam allows for fast moisture pick-up. Note that this spacer cannot be used without an edge sealant; the use of hot melt butyl or similar compatible sealants is recommended for proper application. This product is intended for use in window and door hardware fabrication, and proper protective safety gear should be worn when handling glass.
