Product Overview
The Black 3/8" Wide Edgetech 66 Foot Roll is an insulating silicone foam spacer designed for the fabrication of insulating glass units. This spacer is used in the assembly of regular and special shaped insulating glass units, including curved, odd shaped, sound insulating, and triple-glazed units with art glass inserts. Constructed from UV resistant silicone material, the spacer accommodates glass bowing and thermal movement. The foam structure allows for moisture pick-up, while a multi-layer barrier film reduces moisture vapor transmission and inert gas loss. Each roll measures 66 ft in length and 3/8" in width, with a thickness of 1/4". This product requires the use of an edge sealant, such as hot melt butyl or specialized super spacer sealant, for proper application. The spacer has a shelf life of 36 months and is available in a black finish.
