CRL 777 Butyl Rubber Sealant is a butyl based sealant formulated with age resistant polymers to provide reliable adhesion and exterior weathering performance across a range of temperature conditions. Designed for exterior sealing applications, it offers strong adhesion to most clean surfaces including wood, masonry, glass, concrete, certain plastics, and metal. The sealant is capable of accommodating joint movement of plus or minus 10 percent without compromising water tightness. It incorporates an ultraviolet resistant component to support extended service life when exposed to sunlight. Recommended uses include concealed areas such as under sill pans, thresholds, and around screw heads, as well as between metal building panels, beneath aluminum siding and gutters, and around wall mounted air conditioning units. Application temperature range is 40 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit, and service temperature range is minus 20 to 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Paint time is approximately 24 hours. This product meets Federal Specifications TT-S-001657 Type 1, TT-C-1796A, ASTM C 1311, AAMA 808.3-05, and is USDA certified. It is not intended for horizontal decks, patios, driveways, terrace joints, or glazing applications requiring a non skinning non hardening sealant.
