Black bituminous paint - aerosol is a protective coating designed to create a barrier between metal hardware and concrete. this paint is used to protect base shoes, posts, railings, and stanchions from electrolysis and corrosion when they are embedded in concrete. the formula comes in a 15 oz. aerosol can, providing coverage of approximately 33 sq. ft. per can. to apply, spray the paint onto a clean and dry surface and allow it to dry completely before embedding the hardware in concrete. the product features a black color and requires vigorous shaking for several minutes before use to ensure proper mixing of the formula. you must hear the marble inside the can vigorously mixing the formula to ensure a good spray flow. if not well shaken, the paint will spray thick and stringy, which can clog the spray tips. the shelf life of this product is 2 years from the date stamped on the bottom of the can.
