6 Tools for Building DIY Halloween Props

Glue cardboard, wood and fabric together in about a minute. It runs hot, so keep it off craft foam.

Cut cardboard and foam board into tombstones, bats and scythe blades. Always cut away from your other hand.

Snip chicken wire and craft wire to shape heads, wreaths and spooky figures. Wear gloves; cut ends are sharp.

Bend, twist and tuck wire ends so your props hold their shape and nothing pokes out.

Screw together wood frames for tombstones, yard signs and props. Pre-drill first so the wood doesn't split.

Staple cheesecloth, burlap or fabric onto wood frames. Fold the edge over first so it doesn't tear.
