This Boshart Industries PENL-PFDE05 is a 1/2-inch Push-Fit x 1/2-inch FPT Drop Ear Elbow, constructed from a forged dezincification resistant (DZR) lead-free brass body. It features a push-fit connection for 1/2-inch Copper Tube Size (CTS) compatible piping, including copper, CPVC, and PEX, and a 1/2-inch Female Pipe Thread (FPT) connection. Designed for rapid installation without soldering, crimping, or solvent welding, this fitting is suitable for both wet and dry conditions and allows for post-assembly rotation. Internal components include a stainless steel gripper ring, EPDM 70 O-ring, and a polysulfone tube support for PEX applications. Rated for pressures up to 200 PSI and temperatures up to 200°F (93°C), it is approved for potable and non-potable water systems, hydronic heating, and behind-the-wall or underground installations when properly protected. The fitting complies with ASSE, cUPC, and NSF/ANSI 372 and 61 standards for lead content and drinking water systems, and its drop ear design includes aounting flange for secure attachment.
