It features a 1/8 inch Nominal Pipe Size (NPS) and a 3-inch length, with male National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads that conform to ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 standards. The nipple is lead-free, adhering to U.S. Safe Drinking Water Act requirements with a lead content of <=0.25% weighted average, and is certified to NSF/ANSI 61 and 372 for potable water applications. Manufactured from red brass pipe conforming to ASTM B43 and nipples conforming to ASTM B687, this fitting is suitable for plumbing, boiler feed lines, potable water distribution systems, HVAC, and industrial liquid conveyance, particularly in high-corrosion environments.
