This Boshart Industries UBRN-0530 is a seamless, lead-free Schedule 40 red brass pipe nipple with a nominal pipe size of 1/2 inch and a length of 3 inches. Manufactured from C23000 red brass, which has a higher copper content than yellow brass, it provides enhanced corrosion resistance against water, salt water, and minerals, making it suitable for high corrosion environments. The nipple features National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads, conforming to ASME B1.20.1 standards. It complies with ASTM B43 for seamless red brass pipe and ASTM B687 for brass nipples. This product meets lead-free requirements, including NSF/ANSI 372 and CA AB1953, making it suitable for potable water applications. It is designed for connecting threaded pipe fittings or extending pipe runs in plumbing, waterworks, and industrial systems.
