Product Overview
The Boshart Industries UBRN-10 is a Schedule 40 seamless red brass pipe nipple designed for connecting two female-threaded pipes or fittings. Fabricated from C23000 red brass alloy, composed of 85% copper and 15% zinc, it offers superior corrosion resistance against water, salt water, and minerals compared to yellow brass. This 1 inch Nominal Pipe Size (NPS) fitting is a close nipple, featuring male NPT threads (conforming to ASME B1.20.1) that extend from end to end, enabling the tightest possible connection with minimal exposed threading. It is lead-free, complying with California AB1953 and certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 61 and 372 for safe use in potable water systems. Material conforms to ASTM B43, and dimensions to ASTM B687. This nipple is suitable for plumbing and high-corrosion environments like barns, underground installations, wells, and basements.
