Product Overview
The Boshart Industries UBRN-12 is a 1-1/4 inch nominal pipe size close nipple, designed for connecting two female-threaded pipe components with minimal spacing. Constructed from seamless Schedule 40 C23000 red brass, this pipe fitting offers superior corrosion resistance to water, saltwater, and minerals due to its higher copper content compared to yellow brass. It is suitable for damp or high-corrosion environments and exhibits antimicrobial properties. The close nipple design is fully threaded, allowing for tight, compact connections with no unthreaded surface between the male NPT ends. It conforms to ASTM B43 for material, ASTM B687 for dimensions, and ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 for threads. This lead-free fitting meets NSF/ANSI 372 and NSF/ANSI 61 standards, ensuring safety for potable water applications. The pipe length for this close nipple is 1-5/8 inches.
