This Boshart Industries UBRN-1220 pipe nipple is manufactured from seamless Schedule 40 red brass, Copper Alloy UNS No. C23000, which has a higher copper content than yellow brass, providing enhanced corrosion resistance against water, saltwater, and minerals. It features 1-1/4 inch nominal pipe size with 2-inch length and male National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads on both ends, conforming to ANSI/ASME B1.20.1. The lead-free composition meets NSF/ANSI 61 and NSF/ANSI 372 standards for drinking water system components, with lead content below 0.25%. Compliant with ASTM B43 for seamless red brass pipe and ASTM B687 for pipe nipples, it is suitable for plumbing, boiler feed lines, and high-corrosion environments like wells, basements, and underground installations.
