Product Overview
This Boshart Industries UMASS-20 male insert adapter is designed to connect a 2-inch nominal pipe size threaded connection to a polyethylene (PE) pipe. Constructed from 304 stainless steel conforming to ASTM A351, it features male National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads, which meet ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 standards, on one end and a barbed insert on the other. It is intended for cold water applications, including irrigation, well service, and potable water systems, for use with ASTM D2239 PE plastic pipe. The fitting is NSF/ANSI Standard 372 certified, indicating compliance for drinking water system components regarding lead content.
