The Brixwell right-hand snap-in tilt latch is a replacement component for tilt-in window sashes where a retractable nose engages a frame keeper during normal operation and releases to allow tilting for cleaning or service. Molded from plastic with a white finish, the latch body is designed to press-fit into the sash pocket and sit flush at the rail surface. Dimensional checks help confirm fit before installation: body length is 2-1/2", back cutout length is 2-3/8", body width is 11/16", and latch height is 7/16". The nose provides a 5/16" vertical projection and a 1/8" forward projection to interface with the keeper. Installation is straightforward - align the body with the recess, press until fully seated, and verify that the nose extends and retracts smoothly without binding. After fitting, test the tilt-in action and confirm clearance around the cap and pocket corners.
