A tilt/trim system is well-made up of a well-built hydraulic ram into most outboards and I/Os. It boosts and lowers the speed of your motor. This switch will control it. This is the COMPLETE SWITCH COMBINATION, which contains both the switch body and the labeled cover. The Tilt/Trim switch cover is available separately. The trim switch on a boat initiates the trim/tilt mechanism, which raises and lowers your outboard motor. The controller has three positions: "Up," "Down," and "Off," with the center terminals directing or disconnecting electrical current, one set of terminals sending power to the "Up" side of the trim/tilt mechanism, and the other set sending energy to the "Down" side.
