CENTEK DELTA-T SYSTEMS Temperature & Pressure Based Automatic Engine Room Ventilation Control System for AC Fans The PT6 is an an Automatic Engine Room Ventilation Control System regulates the airflow into and out of a vessel's engine room based on the internal temperature and the internal pressure of the engine room. A temperature sensor and a pressure sensor read the engine room temperature internal pressure and then regulates the intake and exhaust fans for the engine room based on those two inputs. The pressure sensor regulates the intake fans to ensure that the engines do not draw a vacuum in the engine room as they ramp up and draw in large quantities of air. Then the temperature input controls the exhaust fans so that the higher the temperature in the engine room gets the faster the exhaust fans run to remove the heat. This is an automatic system that keeps the vessel's engine performing optimally, however, the system may also be run in manual mode if desired where the user can select fan speed and airflow direction for both intake and exhaust fans for the engine room. This system has an emergency shutdown and also communicates directly with the engine room's fire system to shut the fans down in the event of a fire.
