Product Overview
These taps are designed for tapping stainless steel
These have a hardlube coating
Sometimes called hardslick, hardlube has an inner layer of titanium aluminum nitride (TiAlN) and an outer layer of tungsten carbide/carbon (WC/C)
The TiAlN layer withstands high temperatures and protects the taps from wear
The WC/C layer has a low coefficient of friction and helps prevent chips from sticking to the tool in dry-machining applications
These taps meet DIN length standards and have a longer overall length than taps that meet ISO, ANSI, and JIS length standards.
